You may discover on reading our blog, that we aren’t as good as some at writing blogs!! We tend to write larger articles, with summaries of the places we’ve been, when we get the motivation (usually on a rainy day!), rather than logging every day and a lot of detail on each place we visit.
Why? Well, mainly because sitting in front of a laptop and writing words has felt a bit too much like our lives at work! At work we would sit in front of a laptop and screen for every hour of every day, writing words, and we are still trying to come down from that life!!
Also because we are writing for us, not to become ‘Influencers’ or any other reason, so it isn’t a priority most days and we don’t want to bombard the world with it.
What we have been doing is trying to keep our NoForeignLand “Journey” up to date, with little snippets of places we stay (and don’t stay!) and details of our journey on a “real time” basis. We are trying to record our firsts and our most memorable moments here and find the NoForeignLand portal simple and intuitive to do this!
The link to NoForeignLand is here if you are interested and there is an app you can download as well.

When you click the link you can then scroll through our “Journey” and all the “Stories” we have added.
You can also become a “Follower” on NoForeignLand and even get notifications when we move – if you really want more notifications in your life!
At the time of writing we have done over 1,200 nautical miles in 2025 – which may not seem like a lot, but given our average speed is 5 miles an hour, we are very pleased with this!
We hopefully have many more miles to come!
We will keep writing blogs as we get the opportunity – but whilst the sun is shining and the sea and skies are blue, we are out there sailing and exploring … or doing boat jobs and errands and provisioning … or sleeping and reading and fishing … or cooking and baking … and much much more!!
